In this
blog I have been asked to speak on a band or a concert, my first thought was my
favorite band and recording a specific disc that I think is the best in his
repertoire, I am referring Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, which was recorded a
video with 3 songs "Echoes", "One of These Days" and
"A Saucerful of Secrets" which were recorded in the amphitheater
ruins of Pompeii, Italy This video / concert was recorded in 1971, the rest of
the songs on this album was recorded in a studio in Paris, France. This band
marked a before and after in the music world, being a great contribution to
music because its sound quality.
Initially
the group was formed by guitarist Bob Klose, drummer Nick Mason, keyboardist
Richard Wright and vocalist, bassist and vocalist Roger Waters and rhythm
guitarist and lead vocalist Syd Barrett, who became the first leader of the
band. However, the strange behavior of the latter, caused by excessive
consumption of drugs, especially LSD, made it was replaced by David Gilmour
